Before I Start•
Sometimes I have no idea when God is going to flow from me, or what I’m going to write until it is finished. It’s the one area in my life I can fully surrender and let Him take over. My goal is to always be obedient to His directives. Sometimes when I am inspired I’m driving or doing things and can not take the time. And those messages are really amazing. I can see God’s grandness within them. I see chains falling off. And I get home or a day goes by and the anointing has left, and the message doesn’t flow from me like it was in the moment it came to me. I try to take little credit for my work. I believe that God has gifted me with writing for Him to reach those who need Him, through what I write.
Some people are gifted in prayer, some in preaching. I am gifted in writing. And He has shown me many things through this gift. My prayer for you is that my blog posts bless you and feed you. Awaken you, strengthen you, heal you. Do what ever God purposes in His ways for you. I usually try to never write a post without including His Word and teaching His will.
•Back Story•
After some devastational events at the end of 2019, I decided to start looking for Joy everywhere I went. To focus on Joy. I want to be continually joyful in all situations. What we focus on grows. So I knew to put this into action. I utilize the hashtag #365DaysOfJoy on Facebook when I am sharing that joy with others through posts. Feel free to step into this amazing self challenge with me and use the same hashtags. Send me your pictures Of the joy you are finding/creating. I would love to see them.
Today while I was in the Bible app reading my devotional on Joy, God gave me this post below.
May today’s post bless you with ways to increase your joy.
•Gifts & Talents•
We all have them. Some of us don’t know what they are yet. But we all have them. We are to take our gifts and talents and use them for God’s mighty kingdom. John Maxwell taught me about, and how to use the 80/20 rule. I didn’t realize how fast I accidentally laid this teaching down. We are to spend 80% of your time on the top 20% of your strengths. Spend 20% of your time building the bottom 80% of your weaknesses. There are many areas of our life we can apply the 80/20 rule. For instance – you will love 80% of your spouses habits/behaviors, but you will dislike 20% of them as well. What you focus on will grow. The issue grows deeper when you only like 20% of the person. Of your dating and only like 20% and dislike 80%. It’s time to get out. That scale is not in your favor. Use the 80/20 rule everywhere in your life. 80% of your money should be lived on, 20% invested and saved. 80% of your time should be focused on the top 20% of the people in your life. Etc.. see where I’m going. 80% should be the focus on what you want to speak life into and grow.
God shines in our weakness. But He is glorified as well in our strengths because they are FROM HIM!
Don’t sow your strengths into the ground and try to fix the weaknesses. This offends God. Give the weakness to God and sow into your strengths. This is where He gets to work 100% in our lives. ️️️️️️
•Reflect•
Ask yourself how/what is robbing your joy? Joy is the easiest thing to lose, but also the easiest thing to get back. Reflect on what was allowed to rob your joy away, redirect yourself back to the Word and start focusing on God while cultivating our strengths again. Joy is always in us. Happiness is of the flesh and a mindset we choose. Joy is within us and always present. We step away from it. We have to choose to continually walk in joy because things will intentionally try to steal it. CHOOSE to walk in Joy ️
Joy builds life. Productivity and enthusiasm is always higher where joy is present.
