I am thankful that I find all the leaks in a foundation I am trying to keep secure. We made it 5 months since the last harassing message from one of the bio mom’s messages, or a friend of hers. I believe that yesterday’s message will be the last.

Some people really love to explain to me exactly how my husband and I gained 3 more beautiful children in our family. They also do it creatively in either anger or with really colorful words. Sometimes they use both. I must not have been present for the whole thing because I learn new versions every time. *insert eye roll*

To clarify a little bit further. In case any of you are wondering why I don’t just block these people, report them, or how do they know how to find me?
The birth mother is a family member. So she knows me personally. I have blocked 100’s of her friends. She has lied and told the cops she was me to avoid arrest for her outstanding warrants. There are many other things I could add. But I will wait until another post for more details. I do not mention a few of these struggles to get your sympathy. However, if I am going to show you how we have overcome. How God has brought us through. It helps to know what He is bringing us out of, and I believe giving you a slice of what the valley looked like helps paint that picture.
So how do I overcome and keep my Faith and Hope so high?
Scripture – The Armor of God – a fantastic husband – and my amazing family and friends.
One of my favorite prayers is to ask God to “Reveal the truth, and confuse all the lies”. I also pray this prayer over others, so if they are lying, I will catch it.
I also remind myself that this is not my fight, and my family and I will be vindicated. Every time the enemy strikes, God sends us a grand blessing. I may have been shocked for a second, but I am not even going to sweat those harassing messages. Instead, I extend a Thank You for opening another door to a beautiful blessing for us. God can and will now deliver.
Ephesians 6:12 NKJV “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
We already have the victory.
Deuteronomy 20: 3-4 NLT “…Do not be afraid as you go out to fight your enemies today! Do not lose heart or panic or tremble before them. For the Lord your GOD is going with you! He will fight for you against your enemies, and He will give you victory!”
I will continue to choose the higher road instead of acting in the flesh. I will share how God is working for us in amazing ways, protecting us, helping us.
Luke 8: 39 “Return to your home, and declare how much God has done for you…”
I will share our journey.
I will share our victories and the way we overcame.
I will share how we have been delivered.
I will share it with humor and with sarcasm as needed.
It is my story to share.
The kids are worth every second of that wisdom, understanding, and clarity of how God has shown up in huge ways for them.
I would be denying them that blessing if I did not share our testimony.
Our children will know the beauty that has come from the ashes of their past.
I will keep speaking to this mountain.
I will keep pushing forward.
I will keep praying love over these people.
I will keep a forgiving heart.
I will keep faith.
I will keep pulling my head up, taking a deep breath and moving forward.
I will not be defeated. I know who I am.
And who I am, and who is with me is far stronger than any force that can try to come against me.
Isaiah 54: 17 KJV “No weapon formed against my family and I shall prosper. And every tongue that rises against us in judgment we shall condemn…”
We have victory. We have Faith, and we have Hope, because God is so good!
