Last year I started the “Make A Difference” not resolutions task for myself.
I no longer make New Year’s resolutions. I make a difference.

I promised to let you all know how I did. I set out to do 1 thing every week that made a difference somewhere and for someone. That would be 52 differences in 1 year. 52 homes positively impacted.

I do not want this to be about bragging, so I’m just going to share my current list is below and how many things I did. This was not a competition, and the people I did things for were not for show. These things were sincere and they came from my heart.

On my phone note pad, I kept tally marks to make sure I completed 52. Once a month I would reflect the inspirations I received to help others and I would go through my list and see where I had helped others.
Sometimes I had to actively do something with intention. Leaving quarters on washers, or vending machines takes intentionality for me, as I do not usually carry cash. So, on a few occasions, I had to think ahead and plan.

So the number you have been waiting for – I completed over 100 “Make a difference tasks” by the end of August. The current number is much higher as I stopped keeping tally marks at 100.

My non-tally marked list is below so you can use it as well if you desire too.

Remember – the goal is not to brag about how you made a difference with this list, but to keep track of the goal you have set. So I ask that if you copy my list, don’t do these things to show off, but rather use it as a visual for you to stay on track to see where you are making a difference.

For me 2018 means I am going to try and increase this and reach 150. I will let you know next year if I met my goal of 150. And by letting you know I hope you recognize I am not trying to impress you, but simply start a movement and inspire someone else to make a difference with me.

Matthew‬ ‭6:1-4‬ ‭NLT‬‬ – “Watch out! Don’t do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven.
When you give to someone in need, don’t do as the hypocrites do—blowing trumpets in the synagogues and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! I tell you the truth, they have received all the reward they will ever get.
But when you give to someone in need, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing.
Give your gifts in private, and your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.”
‭‭
Psalm 37:21 – “The wicked borrow and never repay, but the Godly are generous givers.”
