This ones for everyone!
Because let’s be really honest – life brings about curve balls, bumps, twists and crushing moments where we often times feel like life will never get better.

Been there?
You’re not alone.

Did you know that scrawny little shepherd boy who took down Goliath suffered insurmountable amounts of trauma and crushing heart break?
Sure, we all have heard he fled for his life and how he cried out to God for rescue time and time again.

But let’s hit the pause button for just a second and evaluate his life and situations on an actual relatable scale in today’s world. Because you likely are not killing real life behemoth giants with that sling shot from your kid years. And you probably are not a king.

David was a TRAUMA & PTSD survivor. He endured brutal, life altering, debilitating trauma. Not once. Not twice; but for a huge part of his younger life. Childhood trauma! Not just adult trauma. As a result he had some PTSD. You see it in his decision making when he sleeps with Bethsheba and kills his main army man. During PTSD triggers you are likely to make TERRIBLE decisions. Decisions you usually end up regretting.

Maybe fleeing for your life wasn’t yours. But maybe FIGHTING for it from sickness, disease, abuse, or even a car crash. Maybe the loss of a loved one.

David was a “been there, done that guy!” Except the car crash. Because you know – no cars

David lost a child and best friend who was his “brother from another mother”
David was constantly running and hiding because Saul wanted to murder him.
David was taunted, bullied and ridiculed by his older brothers.
David has COUNTLESS other things but I’ll stop at those.

When you read psalms and the stories of David’s life, the one and only thing that set him apart. Despite every crushing and excruciating heart breaking moment – HE NEVER STOPPED TRUSTING GOD! And he discussed this vulnerability that warred in his mind openly with God. “Where are you Lord” “How long must I wait” “Why haven’t you rescued me yet”

Sound familiar?

But he would always loop it back around with – BUT “You will” “You have done it before and will again” “I don’t see it, but I know you got me”

So if you are facing some of life’s most difficult moments right now – God’s not done. He hasn’t left. He isn’t ignoring you. He loves you just as much as David.

David’s latter years were full of prosperity, wealth, love, happiness, PEACE, SAFETY, SECURITY, restoration, joy, happiness!

Every promise God gave to David came true.
Yours will too!

Don’t you dare give up!
God’s coming through for you.
Keep going.
Don’t give up on God.
You got this !

Now go grab your coffee and give a cheers to God who will bring you through!
